Go 4 Broke

Yay for church notes again!

This week is the year-end offering, which is the culmination of the Gamechanger series we’ve been in, so my notes may be shorter this time around as much of the service was dedicated to worship through singing and giving.

To start off, we sang “God of the Promise“, “Here Comes Heaven“, had a testimony and baptism, and finished off with my favorite, “Here Again“.

My notes read:

  • Mark 14:1-11
  • I’m going for broke.
  • Sometimes what you do for God may seem wasteful to other people, because they do not share your personal experience.
  • You get to decide out of how much God has done for you, how much you’re going to do for Him.
  • Mary considered it not a waste, but worship.
  • Mary “went for broke” for Jesus right before He did the same for her.

After this, we had the offering and sang some more.  This may seem insignificant on paper [blog], but it definitely made me sob.  This has been my story and will continue to be so.  I’m ready to go for broke.

We continued with Elevation Worship’s new (unreleased) song “It Is So”.
