The Power of the Prompt

Aaaaand aren’t you special, you get two church notes posts in a row! 🙂 This post is actually from this past Sunday, so we’re all caught up again.

Worship began with singing “Won’t Stop Now“, followed by Hillsong Worship’s “Who You Say I Am” and a baptism and testimony, before going into one of my new favorites, Elevation Worship’s unreleased song “It Is So”.

My notes from this installment of the Gamechanger series reads:

  • Every blessing has a backstory.
  • Joshua 4:19-23
  • God will give you a promise, and then he’ll give you a prompting. Learning to respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit is one of the most crucial skills you can have.
  • How many times have I missed the blessings of God because I haven’t responded to the promptings of God?
  • You should give an offering not because God needs what you have, but because you need what God has.

This was a shorter message this week, as we lead up to the year-end offering.  I don’t have a lot of notes because it was mostly testimonies, so I would recommend you watching yourself, which you can do here:
